Melissa and Jakob were neighbors since childhood. They didn’t realize it back then, but one day they would have a big, beautiful Texas wedding! Jakob proposed to Melissa on her Aggie Ring Day under the Century Tree.

SGI Photography was honored to be their wedding photographer on their gorgeous wedding day! Jakob and Melissa exchanged wedding vows at
St. Mary’s Catholic Church. They chose The Farmhouse in Magnolia, Texas to hold their wedding reception. A stunning Texas wedding venue, the modern white barn on a sprawling property was an ideal location for an elegant country wedding.
“It was a good price, beautiful, and able to accommodate our large wedding. The bridal suite was beautiful and I liked that the groom’s suite was one of the best we had seen. The owners were also very easy to get ahold of and very accommodating.”
When Jakob first saw his bride on their wedding day, he felt ‘extreme happiness’! “I managed to blink away some tears but I was just beyond excited to finally see her on our wedding day”.
Melissa was so excited to see his smiling face! When she saw him, she thought about how calming it was “that I get to marry my best friend”!
Their first dance together as husband and wife and the father-daughter dance were very emotional moments for them. They loved seeing all of their family and friends and really enjoyed dancing with each of them at the reception!
Now, Jakob and Melissa have this wise advice for future brides and grooms “Definitely shop around for vendors such as cake and flowers and look at reviews and get recommendations. We were able to find wonderful vendors at decent prices. Also, book early! Hire Slava as your photographer!” We told you they were wise! 🙂
