“True love is like a friendship caught on fire . . . .”
Ok, so maybe a Bruce Lee quote sounds strange on a wedding blog, but this line reminds me of Rachel and  Clayton, who were married at St. Laurence Catholic Church in Sugar Land and celebrated after the ceremony at the Sweetwater Country Club. This good-natured, young couple met in college as Rachel was just moving in. She needed help getting a futon to the third floor, so she and her roommate enlisted the help of a friend they knew and his roommate. They were acquaintances and ran in the same circle for most of their college years, but the friendship truly blossomed after Clayton left the area and kept in touch with Rachel through MySpace, eventually becoming best friends! They grew to know almost everything about one another, and always made time for each other to hang out when Clayton came back to town! They had been dating for almost 3 years when Clayton graduated from Houston’s Fire Academy. At his graduation party/celebration of purchasing their new home, the big surprise was that the party would soon turn into an engagement party! As they both stood by the fireplace, and Clayton rushed to finish thanking everyone, he added one more thing . . . his proposal to Rachel in front of friends and family who were all in on the big secret!

After a 14-month engagement, Rachel and Clayton had the wedding of their dreams and celebrated the happiest day of their lives!
Rachel wore a stunning Alfred Angelo white gown with a black train and additional details in black around the dress. It photographed very well on Rachel.
St. Laurence Church was a beautiful setting for these best friends to exchange their wedding vows before God and many loving family members and friends.
Sweetwater Country Club was an exceptional location for the reception of 150 guests, with a panoramic view of lush greens, an expansive dance floor, elegant seating, and an elaborate wedding buffet spread.
Their wedding cakes were made by Cake Affairs and Culinary Creations – also outstanding!
Just where do you suppose this ‘friendship caught fire’ couple honeymooned? In Disney World!
Now that is a ‘dreams come true’ story for you!
