Jennifer and Ernie were a really fun couple to work with! Bright, unique individuals with a flare of nostalgia, Jennifer and Ernie met while working in the same department of a software company in College Station. Ernie asked Jennifer’s Dad for his blessing before asking Jennifer’s hand in marriage and had a nine-month-long engagement. The Heights Theater (Gallery M Squared) was the location for Jennifer and Ernie’s wedding & reception. Once a popular theater in the ’30s, ’40s, and ’50s, now transformed into an art gallery, it is available for use as a venue for meetings, and small parties. With their names on the marquis of the Heights Theater, Jennifer and Ernie, 3 bridesmaids & groomsmen, and 140 guests gathered amongst art-lined walls to celebrate! Jennifer looked stunning in her gown by Sottero & Midgley, and the amazing cake was made by Barbara Suarez from More Than Cakes. In Jennifer’s own words, “Everything was perfect and better than I ever could have imagined! Dewayne Ross, our wedding planner, did an amazing job getting everything together.”
The Heights Theater was a vibrant and artistic backdrop (literally) for wedding and wedding reception photography. The Heights Theater was originally built in 1928-1929 on West 19th Street in Houston Heights. The Wygant family ran the little neighborhood theater for nearly 40 years until it was damaged by fire and put on the market. It wasn’t until 1988 the historic Heights theater was bought as a gift by Sharon Korpriva for her husband Gus. They intended to continue the use of the theater for entertainment & culture, but they became preoccupied with careers and eventually invited the owners of an art gallery down the street to become its occupiers.
